Depth camera has three cameras: one RGB camera, just like regular cameras; one infrared projector and one infrared camera. By projecting infrared and capturing it, the camera can obtain the distance between the object in front of it and itself. It can output two images: one RGB image which contains the RGB information of each pixel on the image; one depth image, which contains the distance information of each pixel on the image.
